Joint mobilisation

Unlike manipuations used by chiropractors, mobilisations are a more gentle approach to loosening stiff joints. Bones or vertebrae are moved to relieve a build up of tension and to improve range of movement.

Rehabilitation programmes

Bespoke rehabilitation plans use specific exercises tailored to the needs of an individual to return them back to full fitness for their lifestyle. Programmes can also be used to help prevent re-occurring injuries.

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage targets the inner layers of muscles and connective tissues. It is mainly used to treat more chronic conditions commonly found in postural muscles, but can be adapted for different areas.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is the use of electrical based techniques to treat soft tissue injuries. It aims to decrease pain, reduce inflammation, promote healing via increased blood flow to the area, as well as break down scar tissue and adhesions.

Taping

Different types of tape and techniques can be used dependant upon the approach taken to treatment. Tape can be applied to reduce movement to prevent further injury, or to off-load soft tissues whilst maintaining full movement.

Please note: In most cases shorts and a loose fitting top are sufficient, however in some cases you may be asked to remove some items of clothing for a full assessment and appropriate treatment to be completed, please ensure you wear sensible underwear.
